3-G Construction Company Inc and 3-G Trim Inc, a family owned business, have been satisfying carpentry needs in Arizona since 1974. We are a full service rough and trim carpenter, willing to take on any size project that contains wood. Here at 3-G we laugh and say, “we have sawdust in our blood”, because carpentry is truly our passion. Aside from the success of our own individual families, there are very few accomplishments in life that give us greater joy than creating and finishing structures out of wood.
3-G evolved in a hospital bed in Glendale, Arizona on January 29,1974 when Sheila (Larry’s wife) gave birth to their 3rd daughter, hence 3 girls, or 3-G. We began with 1 truck, 5 skill saws, a rented generator, and $500.00 in the bank. The company worked on everything from new houses to patios and re-models, from Gila Bend to Prescott.
In 1974, our first year of existence, we had 2-3 employees. In 2006, after 32 years, the 3 companies (3-G, 3-G Trim, and Pueblo Lumber) employed approximately 650 individuals. After building over 10,000 homes in the past 10 years, we at 3-G feel confident in tackling any size community.
All our full-time positions come with the following benefits:
We have training programs in both rough and trim carpentry. We are also longtime supporters of Metro Tech construction programs, sponsor their Construction Careers Academy for Girls, and helped establish the Arizona Construction Championships held at Metro Tech for the last eight years.
Finally, we have partnered with South Mountain Community College to provide certificate and associates degree programs in carpentry. Find more information here.
