Training:
Entry level crew members in SSC’s vacuum excavation division can advance to higher-level crew leader positions after mastering responsibilities in the field, demonstrating strong work ethic, and representing the company's core values.
SSC develops and trains employees on how to safely operate heavy equipment and specialty tools that are utilized in excavation, drilling, and tunneling.
SSC has partnered with a professional training and development firm called Employers Council to provide Leadership, Skills, and Safety Training to all field crew employees.
We also invest heavily into the training and development of each SSC field crew leader by holding monthly training sessions designed to provide employees with the resources and skill needed to advance in their careers.

SSC Underground is a specialty construction contractor that performs underground construction on heavy civil and public works projects for local city and state governments and agencies. SSC continuously works on many large-scale projects throughout the state of Arizona for organizations such as ADOT, Valley Metro, and the City of Phoenix. SSC works on utility infrastructure for new university buildings, hospitals, wastewater plants, energy substations, storm drains, light rails, and manufacturing plants.
