This privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) applies to careers.byfaz.org (the “Site) operated by the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation, an Arizona non-profit organization (“Foundation,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) as part of its Build Your Future Arizona (“BYFAZ”) program. This privacy policy describes how the Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation collects and uses the Personal Information (defined below) you provide on our website www.careers.byfaz.org (the “Site”). It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your Personal Information and how you can access and update this information.
You can visit the Site without submitting Personal Information. If you elect to provide data that personally identifies you or information that can be used on its own or with other information to identify, contact, or locate a single person, or to identify an individual in context (collectively, “Personal Information”) such as your name, email address, and phone number, we will collect, use, and share such Personal Information pursuant to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Privacy laws and guidelines are part of a constantly changing environment. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of this Privacy Policy at any time. What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our Site, including the blog on the Site?
When registering on our Site, as appropriate, you may be asked to provide information below that will help us to offer you relevant career and/or educational opportunities.
We collect the following categories of Personal Information:

- Professional or employment-related information; and
We only collect protected classification information, professional or employment-related information, or educational information if it is included on your resume, added by you to your profile, or submitted by you during your career searches. If you do not wish for this type of information to be collected, please omit it from your submissions. see “resume” section below for more details.
Why do we collect information?
We use the collected information for the following purposes: communicate and deliver job and career related materials, auditing interactions with consumers, auditing and ensuring the security of the Site, debugging or repairing functions on our Site, performing services as disclosed to you (including to recognize you when you return to our Site), certain short-term or transient purposes, internal research for optimizing our operations and services, to enhance your use of the Site (including recognizing you when you return or to speed up your searches), and to maintain and verify the quality and safety of activities involving our Site.
We may also share your Personal Information with other Users of the Site, depending on their role (i.e. we share applicant information with job seekers and educational institutions and job seeker and educational institution information with applicants). All such sharing will take place only with BYFAZ participating companies and educational partners, and only for the purposes of improving your chances of being hired or enrolled, or otherwise successfully planning your career in the construction industry.
We may also share your Personal Information with third parties as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy.
How do we collect and use information?
Registration
Our basic registration form requires users to provide contact information including name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. We may also ask you to provide information on how you found BYFAZ Careers. You may submit other Personal Information to us through completing additional information for your account profile or by submitting a resume, including birthdate, gender, interests, education levels or credentials, previous work experience (if any), current company name, current or past employers, dates of employment, and employee referral information. We use this information to contact you about open jobs or training opportunities, and to allow our participating companies and educational institutions to reach out to provide similar opportunities in accordance with our policies and mission.
If you sign-up with a social media account, we collect your name and contact information as is recorded with that social media service. We do not collect or store your log-in information that you use to access your social media accounts, and only collect and use tokenized credential information to authenticate your account as is consistent with industry standard for use of those services. We do not collect, store, or use any other information from your social media accounts, such as your contacts on that social media platform, your regular social media activity, or your interactions with other social media users.
Resume
Should you post your resume, the amount of information you choose to provide via the resume is entirely up to your discretion, with the caveat that the resume must provide active contact information for a living person seeking employment or training opportunities. You may enter as much or as little information as you choose. All information posted will only be visible to BYFAZ participating companies seeking employees, educational partners, and BYFAZ Careers staff.
Contests and Surveys
We may use your information to administer a contest, promotion, survey or other Site feature.
Testimonials
We may post consumer and employer testimonials on our Site. All testimonials in which Personal Information is included are always consented to prior to posting. If you wish to update or delete your testimonial, you can contact us at info@byfarizona.org.
Emails
As a registered user of the Site, you will automatically receive our service announcements (e.g., email address confirmation, signup confirmation, administrative messages, etc.) at your email address. Service announcements may contain information vital to your account. You may not unsubscribe from service announcements unless you deactivate your account. You may also opt in to receive our newsletter and job alerts. You may opt-out of newsletters or job alerts by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at info@byfarizona.org with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.
Your data will not be shared with companies, partners or educational institutions that are nor formally affiliated with BYFAZ, except we share your data with our service providers in order to assist us in providing our services. A list of these participating employers and education providers can be found via the main website at arizona.byf.org.
Customer Service
When you connect with us via our online chat feature, we will collect any personal information you provide in your messages to us and use such information to respond to your inquiries and improve our customer service.
Data Retention
We will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is permitted or required by law. If you wish to cancel your account or request that we no longer use your Personal Information to provide you services, contact us at info@byfarizona.org to close your account.
How do we protect your information?
